This year at Basa Summer Camp we have so many talented instructors, so we want to give you a chance to get to know the whole staff!
The first two amazing talented teaching artists we will introduce you to is Miss Harper and Miss China:

Ms. China Brickley
China is helping to work with our students this summer with Studio B.E. and she definitely has a lot to show our awesome kids! China, a Chicago native, has a long list of academic and creative accomplishments, including recieving her BFA in Acting from Millikin University, as well as studying for a minor in Music. She also studied at the Globe Theater in 2013 and has been a student and teacher with Studio B.E. for seven years!
China has just completed a performance of HAIRSPRAY and after our summer camp, will be embarking on a new adventure as a Performance Apprentice at the Minneapolis Children's Theater Company. FUN FACT: Ms. China is trained and certified in Stage Combat/Weapons! Better not mess with her!

Ms. Harper Leander
Harper was also born and raised in Chicago, but she is also spending her time on the east coast as a rising Junior at the Boston Conservatory, working on her BFA in Musical Theater. Also like miss China, she has been a student and teacher with Studio B.E. for seven years (these ladies really know what they're doing!) In 2013, Harper graduated from the Chicago Highschool for the Arts, majoring in Musical Theater, and has done many productions with Studio B.E. including Rent, Little Shop of Horrors, Sweeney Todd and Aida. FUN FACT: Ms. Harper has three years of Circus training - that's probably why she's such a fun teacher!
Both of our teaching artists from Studio B.E. are excited and enthusaistic about musical theater - and it shows! They both fell in love with it themselves at Summer Camp, and know how inspiring it can be. Their goal for our summer camp is to inspire other boys and girls to fall in love with Music and Theater, and of course... have a blast!
Studio B.E. is working with our summer camp students on a production of Annie - check back for more details about the show!
