Meet Ms. Kristina Gosh!

Ms. Kristina is originally from Vermont but has been calling Chicago home for a looong time. For her undergrad, Ms. Kristina studied Studio Art and French (oo la laa!) and later she recieved her MFA in Interdiscplinary Art, allowing her to work more closely with media, technology and video production. Before she became one of our awesome Teaching Artists, Kristina worked with high school students, teaching and preparing them for college and work enviroments, but wanted a way to engage with kids more creatively - we think she's doing an awesome job at that! This summer, Ms. Kristina has taught our students: basic design elements, color, patterns, how to respect eachother and one another's art, and abstract painting and self portraits. We can't wait to see what amazing things the kids will make from this class!
Fun Fact: Ms. Kristina speaks Dutch and is obsessed with Crispy Bagon Pig, and thinks everyone should get to know him for inpiration!)
Meet Mr. Jiba Moley Anderson!

Mr. Jiba is originally from Detroit, but has been in Chicago for 20 years!
He recieved his from BA in Illustration and Photography fom the University of Michigan, and his MFA in Visual Communication. Mr Jiba has done everything from Advertising, to his current full-time position as a Professor at Chicago State University, teaching all the coolest stuff from animation to game design. This summer, Mr. Jiba is teaching our older students comic art and cartooning, and we know he's going to do a great job because he really knows what he's doing, being best known in the comic world for his graphic novel The Horseman. You can check out more of his stuff at his pown publishing company, www.griotenterprises.com
Fun Fact: Mr. Jiba is also a DJ in his spare time! That must be why the music he plays during class is so good!
